Business and Investment Visas
Business and Investment Visas are for those people who have established successful business careers either at a senior executive level or as an owner of a business. Business migrants are granted a Business Skills (Provisional) and after establishing the requisite level of business that are required by DIMA or maintaining their minimum investment, are then eligible to make an application for a Business Skills (Residence) visa, which if successful gives the applicant permanent residence. There are 4 schemes available under which a business applicant may emigrate to Australia.

Family Visas
You may qualify for one of several family visas if you have an Australian partner, or members of your immediate family are permanently based in Australia. There are 4 schemes to choose from in order to find out if you are eligible to migrate to Australia. Your sponsor must be either an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen, and would normally be 18 years of age or older. Visas for partners children, parents and other members of the family of an Australian permanent resident or citizen are available for eligible persons.
Independent Skilled
One of the ways that the Australian government fills shortages in the workforce is by skilled migration. There is a points system for applying for the range of Skilled Visas. If you are wondering about the work skills or qualifications that are needed to emigrate to Australia then it's worth bearing in mind that The points test takes into account factors such as age, English ability and qualifications.
Sponsored Business Visas
For those with managerial, professional and trade skills there is a range of temporary and permanent sponsored business visas available. You maybe eligible for a visa sponsored by your employer. The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) pathway to permanent residence for those employees whose employer is willing to sponsor them for a minimum period of three years. You may be eligible if you have a skills assessment in your nominated occupation, or if you have been working with your sponsoring employer in the nominated position for at least two years, or if you have received an executive level salary while working in Australia.
Student Visas
These visas allow people to remain in Australia to study, either at a university, college, TAFE, school or any other registered educational insitution, and they are generally granted for the length of the course. The time taken for your assessment will depend on your home country assessment level. If your country is an assessment level 1 country then the application will be more straightforward than if you are from an assessment level level 3 country.
Visitors and Tourists Visa
Visitors and tourists to Australia must obtain a visa or travel authority before they are permitted to travel to Australia. There is also no need to worry about visiting the Australian Embassy or High Commission to get your visa. You can now get your visa online. If you are planning to travel to Australia as a visitor or even on a business trip then you may need either a visa or an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority). An ETA will allow you to spend up to 3 months in Australia and you are free to travel anywhere you like.
Working Holiday Visas
Working Holiday visas are for people who wish to visit Australia and want to work for up to twelve months. If you want to visit Australia for the amazing weather and other attractions whilst earning an income, are aged between 18 and 30 and are looking to spend 12 months in Australia then you may qualify for one of the many Australian working holiday visas that are available. This visa only permits you to work in a temporary or casual vocation. You may not enter into employment with one employer for a period of longer than 3 months.
There is also an opportunity for those who have spent more than 3 months as a seasonable worker during their working holiday period to extend their stay as the second working holiday maker.
